Manliness
Discuss the question, what does it mean to be a “man”? Do you agree with Lady Macbeth’s view? Or do you think Macbeth’s consideration is more “manly”?
I feel as though that lady macbeth has a point in what she see's as being a man. A man should not be cowardly or even scared to do what ever he has to do . He is suppose to show his lady that he is boss and he isnt afraid of anything. He shouldnt have his women trying to kill someone that is not her job. But then again macbeth doesnt have to kill if he doesnt want to he can still be a man handleing situations in another mannor.

Ambition
Create your own argument: Whose ambition is driving this killing of Duncan, really? It is clear that neither character is telling Duncan or Banquo how they really feel, but do they tell one another? Be sure to pick lines that show you both direct and indirect evidence for your argument.
It is clear that lady macbeths ambition is driving this killing of duncan. She is more into killing duncan that macbeth is. She feels as though her husband macbeth is a weak coward and she knows he will not kill duncan. "Come, you spirits that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, and fill me from the crown to the toe top-full of direst cruelty." - lady macbeth. She said this because she wanted to be a man in order to kill the king because women in this time did not have the rights to do what men could do. macbeth said, "If it were dont when 'tis done, then 'twere well it were done quickly." he was unsure of making any action because he really didnt want to do it. Neither of the characters showed king duncan or banquo how they felt and they never told one another either.

Questions
How do the right questions help you access text better? What difficulties did you find asking questions?
The right questions help you acess the text better because it gives you a better understanding of what you read. I found it most difficult for me to ask questions without the handout you have given the class because i didnt even understand the text itself. Once you have questions you can actually point out the answers. Asking good questions is key.

Do You Trust Me?
Duncan says, “There’s no art to find the mind’s construction in the face: / He was a gentleman on whom I built absolute trust.”
Discuss the issue of trust. Is it ever possible to truly trust someone? Be sure to cite evidence on both sides of the issue.
-Yes, it is possible to truly trust someone but it depends on th person. Say you knew someone ever since you was little and you know how they are then maybe there is a chance that you can trust them more because they was around your whole life. But then again say if you just met someone and you only knew someone for a a short amount of time it would be hard you you to trust them because you dont know how they are and this works for every human being.

To Act or Not To Act
Discuss inaction. Is one less guilty of a crime if they let it happen but did not take an active role in it? Compare inaction to action---Are there levels of guilt?
-Yes one is less guilty of a crime if they let it happen even if they didnt take an active role in it because they knew about it. If they knew about it they should have taken action and did something about it. Sitting around and letting a crime happen is bad both ways because your involved even when your not involved.

Unseamed Him From Nave to Chops
Why do you think the author had Macbeth win, though he wrote Fortune seemed to favor Macdonwald? What sort of man fights like Macbeth did?
-The way machbeth fought was intresting . The way he killed was extremely deep. He killed to make sure is opponent was dead then he cut of there head but then fixed it. He killed like he was a honored warrior that had to kill someone one to gain more respect.

The Bloody Play---Which Witches?
Now that you have seen several versions of the witches, which version do you think is the best?
The old witches, the nurse witches, the girl witches, or the male witches? Back up your argument with reasons and examples.

-i honestly think that the three witches version of the three little girls was the best because when the scene came on i was automatically intrested. The way they was destorying the grave yard and laughing evil caught my eyes. That was the best one in my eyes.

- Do predictions come true because they were destined to come true, or because people make them happen because it was predicted (like a self-fulfilling prophesy)?
- Predictions come ture both ways. They can come true because they were destined to come true and because people make them happen because it was predicted. For and example: my anthropology teacher mr manzo predicted that obama was going to have three hundred and some thing electoral votes which would make him win and become president. His prediciton came true because he had a mathimatical equation that would be accurate. That prediction was destined to come true because it was just obvious that obama was going to win again.
-Then again predictions can become true because people make them happen. You can say the player on the lakers named steve blake was going to sprain his ankle on purpose just so lebron could bring the lakers to there victory. Someone could have predicted that because they over heard the coach say that it was the plan and then they can go bet on it and then win the bet all because he predicted that and it happened.
